閃瞎眼 - 牛安個展
這次發表的「閃瞎眼」系列，是牛安一次大膽的創作實驗。因為有感所處的城市景觀以及對於VR與AR等虛擬科技的多元衝擊，牛安決定重新演繹藝術品被觀看的意義：直面繪畫的現場感受，幾乎無法以任何其他傳遞媒介取代，而觀者的視線也在趨近畫面時，隨著藝術家鋪設的視覺線索緩慢游移。
牛安的作品兼具平面繪畫與文字書寫的獨特風格，這次除了像是太湖石、佛像與古典窗花等經常出現在她過去的作品中，代表東方情調的圖騰符號外，最引人注目的莫過於畫面表層的大量亮片和亮粉：2016年，牛安開始嘗試在平面創作中加入這種具有閃光效果的媒材（Glitter），這種經常出現在派對或慶祝場合的材質，讓人聯想到喜悅與歡樂的氣氛，而它們也會因為光線不同而產生明暗變化的反光和動感神祕的閃爍；另一方面，亮粉和亮片的光澤和質感，難以用攝影或印刷的方式複製展示，使得這一系列的作品具有很高程度的臨場感——觀眾必須親自與作品面對面的接觸，而觀看的角度和距離也將造就千變萬化的視覺經驗。

For decades, San CHEN has been exploring in-depth the aesthetics and philosophies of East and West. He applies traditional brush painting techniques to create softly colored and monochrome landscape paintings. The composition of the scenery, which is often depicted as mountains by a river that cascades down the gorge, creates a depth into the epic scenery that draws the viewer to look and contemplate further beyond the painting. His works, therefore, not only reveal natural simplicity but also inspire spiritual uplift.
禪讓山水篇 - 塵三個展
傳統是一個框架，所謂當代未嘗不是另一個框架。禪讓，是因應時代的自然換位，是美與善的蛻變與昇華，對傳統既非顛覆亦非因循，至此，創作回歸自心與當下，心中有詩情，紙上自有風韻；心中有山河萬朵，紙上自有氣象萬千。因「心」走筆，隨「意」落墨，以「手」觸動，以「身體」感知，心手身意的交融便是創作的極致。

Stone appreciation has a long tradition to Chinese literati. The allure is hidden in the serenity of the naturally occurring ores; close to telling a poetry on its own. By much as in a pure state of mind, Ann Niu disassembles the unspoken verse into strong strokes and symbolic impressions. Through a unique perceptive observation, she passes beyond the stone’s finite boundaries to ultimately reach the same tranquility. Her final artwork is filled with sceneries, scattered epics broken-down into letters and numbers; showing a labyrinth of secluded surroundings hidden in and around a stone. Hence, Ann Niu’s Ink works extricate the once unilateral relation with the viewer to become more of a story-teller.
水墨 - 牛安個展
中國文人賞石，進而畫石，又因石之不能言常佐以文字寄情。牛安以她獨有的細膩觀察，佐以純粹的心境將文字拆解成圖像及符號，為石訴情。解構的文字，泛溢出原有的邊界、輪廓，構成富於畫面感的空間；景色、人形，如劇情提示般散落；出現的數字、符號或英語字母，呈現迷宮般的幽秘氣息。
觀看由此擺脫了單方既定經驗的重復，成為創作者與觀看者間的互動，兩方終將在某個點上相遇，相互激發與印證，對生命的探尋。
